Dr. Angela Golden has served Arizona NPs for over 13 years in numerous elected positions. She is the president-elect for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has served as Vice President, Secretary and Legislative Chair of the Arizona NP Council as well as the Conference Chairperson. She was also the Arizona State Representative for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner for six years.
Dr. Golden has 34 years of nursing experience. She received her BSN in 1977 from Ball State University, a Master's in nursing education in 1996 from the University of Phoenix, completed her Master's in Science with a family nurse practitioner certification in 1998 from Northern Arizona University. In December 2008, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Arizona State University with an emphasis on health policy and evidence based practice.
Dr. Golden is an Assistant Professor at Northern Arizona University teaching in their undergraduate and graduate programs. She owns her own family primary care practice, NP from Home, LLC. Dr. Golden regularly presents at the local, state and national level and has published in journals and texts, having edited the Flight Nursing Review Manual. She presently provides primary care in Northern Arizona and in an urgent care in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Dr. Golden was honored to be the recipient of the 2009 American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Arizona Nurse Practitioner Excellence Award.
