Data Team Administrative Assistant (Austin, TX)
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners has a full-time opening for a Data Team Administrative Assistant. This position provides administrative support for database maintenance, surveys, research initiatives, and other data entry needs.
Duties include:
- Enter, update, and maintain data for various projects
- Develop and maintain project databases and spreadsheets
- Compile data and prepare reports and charts to depict progress and assist in analysis
- Enter data in accurate and efficient manner for all assigned projects
- Handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality; maintain departmental files, records, and correspondence in a neat, well organized, and timely manner
- Assist other project staff in maintaining computer and paper files and organizing data
- Implement problem-solving, and recommend solutions in assigned projects, processes, and reports
Qualifications for this position include:
- Two years of data entry or administrative experience
- Ability to perform data entry with high level of accuracy
- Computer competence involving a variety of software products, including Microsoft Office, word-processing, spreadsheet design and use, basic graphics (charts/tables) and web based data entry
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills and ability to work with others in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to perform all communication in a courteous and professional manner

Research Coordinator (Austin, TX)
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners has a full-time opening for a Research Coordinator. This position provides coordination and support for research activities of AANP and affiliate organizations, and reports to the Director of Research and Education.
Duties include:
- Assist in research timeline development
- Develop tracking mechanisms for projects
- Monitor project status/progress
- Identify necessary resources for projects
- Coordinate research-related data entry `
- Format and/or create electronic and paper survey tools
- Create basic reports, tables, and graphics
- Maintain project records and track project expenses
- Assist in identifying grant opportunities and support grant-writing process
Qualifications for this position include:
- Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years experience in research/project coordination
- Advanced computer competence involving a variety of software products, including those for word-processing, spreadsheet design and use, basic graphics (charts/tables), and data entry, as well as experience with Crystal Reports and SPSS.
- Strong critical thinking/analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work with others in fast paced, focused work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to perform all communication in a courteous and professional manner
