The Independence at Home Act was reintroduced on May 21 in the House (H.R. 2560) by Congressmen Markey (D-MA) and Smith (R-NJ) and in the Senate (S. 1131) by Senators Wyden (D-OR), Cardin (D-MD), Whitehouse (D-RI) and Burr (R-NC). We were notified today that Senator Kennedy (D-MA), Chairman of the Senate HELP Committee, has also agreed to cosponsor.
