The candidate will request an application from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program.  The application must be submitted with the appropriate documentation to the Certification Program for review.  Qualified candidates will be allowed to sit for the next available examination or will be granted endorsement.  A notice of application acceptance will be sent to the applicant. Candidates found ineligible will be refunded the registration fee less a $60 processing  fee.

Candidates sitting for  the computer-based examination will receive a candidate handbook and letter authorizing them to make an appointment to test in the next available testing window. Candidates are encouraged to make appointments at their earliest convenience to guarantee the desired time and testing site.

CANCELLATION & WITHDRAWAL POLICY

Computer-Based Examination:  Should a candidate be unable to sit for the computer-based examination, he/she is required to notify the program prior to making an appointment for the examination. The registration fee less a $120 processing fee will be refunded. Candidates withdrawing after an appointment is made or not sitting for an examination are not entitled to a refund.
