Linnea Marie Axman
DrPH, MSN, CFNP, FAANP
Dr. Axman is an active duty Navy Commander and the Assistant Department Head of Nursing Research and Analysis for Family, Community, and International Health at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California.
Dr. Axman began her professional career upon graduating from Hurley Medical Center School of Nursing with a Diploma in Nursing in 1977. Graduating Summa cum Laude, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Michigan in 1981, a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Kentucky in 1992, and the Doctor of Public Health Degree in May 2003 from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Axman is the current Department of Defense Core Team Representative on the U.S. Government Team for the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief in South Africa.
