Susan M. Matthews
PhD, FNP-BC, FAANP

Dr. Matthews has over 20 years of clinical and academia experience in various nursing settings. She received her Ph.D. at the University of Kentucky. She owns a family practice in Western Kentucky and is actively engaged in research and legislative issues. Dr. Matthews is an internationally and nationally recognized speaker and author on topics such as diabetes; patient-provider communication; satisfaction with diabetes treatment; and attitudes toward diabetes. In addition, she was the 2006 recipient of the AANP Kentucky State Award for Excellence.
