Robert T. Smithing
MSN, ARNP, FAANP

Bob Smithing, MSN, ARNP, is clinical director of FamilyCare of Kent, a nurse-managed center in Kent, Washington where he practices as a family nurse practitioner. He was the founding communication secretary of the AANP and is an AANP past-president. In addition to clinical practice, he is the founder of the first national NP website, NP Central. He is the executive director of the Washington State NP group, ARNPs United of Washington State. For 20 years, with his partner Maddy Wiley, he has been the editor of the Washington NP newsletter, ARNP Care. He is clinical faculty with the University of Washington graduate program.
