Ponrathi Rosalind Athilingam
PhD, RN, ACNP, FAANP

Dr. Athilingam is an Assistant Professor and Director, Acute Care NP concentration at the University of South Florida. She is an outstanding clinician in the heart failure arena and has received several honors and awards, notably the Katharine Donohoe Scholarly Practitioner Award, and Service for Humanity Leadership Award for outstanding contribution to women with heart disease. As an outstanding new researcher in heart failure, Dr. Athilingam received the prestigious Nurse Investigator Award for the year 2008 from the Heart failure Society of America. Dr. Athilingam was instrumental in starting a heart failure clinic at the University of South Florida. She is an outstanding teacher and clinician who is very passionate about practice and research in heart failure.
