Professional Membership Categories

Annual Dues: $ 125 *

NP Members shall have successfully completed an NP program and/or maintain certification as NPs with a nationally approved certifying body. NP Members shall have the right to vote in national and state elections. NP Members desiring to seek state or national office must be an AANP member in good standing for the 12 months previous to the date on which the call for nominations begins.

Membership dues include payment for subscription to JAANP.

* NP Organization Member Discount: Members of current AANP NP Organization Members are eligible for a $10 discount on NP Membership only.

Annual Dues: $ 95

Career Starter is a newly graduated NP who has completed one year as a current AANP student member.  Career Starter members shall have the right to vote and hold elected office at the national and state levels.  Career Starter members desiring to seek state or national office must be an AANP member in good standing for the 12 months previous to the date on which the call for nominations begins.

Associate Members are non-NPs who are interested in fostering the objectives of AANP and the NP profession. Associate Members do not have the right to vote or hold office.

Retired Members are NPs who have retired from NP practice. Retired Members shall have the right to vote in state elections. Retired Members interested in holding state office must be AANP members in good standing for the 12 months previous to the date on which the call for nominations begins.

Tax Information

AANP dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution for U.S. federal income tax purposes, but may be deductible as a professional expense. AANP estimates that 5% of your dues are not deductible because of AANP's lobbying activities on behalf of its members.
