AANP Multimedia

multimediaTo help generate awareness around the NP role, and the cost-effective high-quality care NPs provide, AANP has produced multimedia tools that may be shared with community organizations and the media. We encourage members to build relationships with local media sources, such as television and radio stations, and help communicate the important role NPs play in the future of health care.

Public Service Announcements

AANP has produced several 30-second public service announcements (PSAs) to build awareness of NPs to the general public. These PSAs have been distributed to broadcasters (network and cable) around the country. We encourage members to contact local television network and cable operators and ask if they will play the PSAs. If they agree, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. Television PSAs

Good Health Care highlights the many skills and services provided by NPs and the peace of mind patients can expect when under NP care. The PSA is available in two versions – one has voice over (VO) accompanying the images and is available in English. The other displays words on the screen accompanied by soft background audio and is available in English and Spanish.

NPFinder is a 30-second PSA showcasing AANP's exclusive NPFinder.com, where AANP members can register their practice sites and consumers can locate NPs in the community. NP Finder 1 version uses the same video with different message. NP Finder 2 features images found in the Your Partner in Health, The Nurse Practitioner brochure, available in AANP Publications

Radio PSA Scripts

If you're interested in getting involved in promoting recognition of the NP profession, we encourage you to share the following scripts with your local radio stations. The attached PDF contains three scripts addressing a variety of health care topics as well as the role of an NP. Each script can be used independently from the others. Many radio stations have their DJs or announcers read PSAs on the air, while others record the PSA for play throughout a program or day.
