AANP Sampling Program & Dataset Access Promoting high-quality research is a key component of AANP’s mission and why we created the AANP Research Sampling and Dataset Access programs. In addition to accessing datasets from prior AANP research projects for secondary analysis, qualified researchers may apply to survey AANP members by mail or via our national conferences.

The AANP Research Sampling Program is available for a small fee for valid research purposes only.  Researchers interested in collecting data for NPs are encouraged to apply.

NOTE: AANP does not provide email addresses for sampling or any other purposes, and will not disseminate electronic invitations to online surveys.

How to Apply

  1. To apply for our Research Sampling Program, please download and complete the Requests for Data Collection: Sampling AANP Membership and AANP Conference Attendees form.
  2. Submit completed forms via mail, email or fax to:

  3. The application, approval and production process usually takes 4 to 7 working days.
  4. Qualified applicants are then notified via the contact information provided.

AANP maintains a number of large datasets from previous AANP national NP surveys and studies. Access to limited, de-identified data is available for approved research purposes. In addition to contact information, a dataset request must include the title, purpose and description of the project for which you propose to use the data. If approved, data-sharing is limited to those elements or variables required to support the documented purpose and project description. A data-sharing agreement and IRB approval is required prior to provision of data.
