At the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP), we recognize the vital role that nurse practitioners (NPs) have in shaping the future of health care. As highly skilled clinicians, educators and advocates, NPs bring a unique perspective to patient care, policy discussions and health care innovation.
AANP is committed to ensuring meaningful engagement for our membership and leadership to reflect our belief that NP expertise is essential in driving positive change. By fostering collaboration with our partners, NP members and AANP leadership, we ensure that clinical insights, patient-centered approaches and advanced practice knowledge inform important initiatives — creating more effective and accessible health care solutions.
Through strategic partnerships, open dialogue and shared initiatives, we strive to amplify the voice of NPs, support their professional growth and work together to address the evolving challenges of health care. We welcome opportunities to engage with other health care associations, organizations, government and industry to build a stronger health care system that values the expertise and experience of those providing care in every community across the country.
Together, we can make a lasting impact. If you are an organization looking to collaborate, we invite you to connect with us and explore opportunities to work together in advancing health care excellence.

This is a multi-year initiative.
The purpose of the initiative is to foster collaboration among leaders from health care, industry, advocacy and policy to develop a sustainable, evidence-based and comprehensive care model for obesity. The expected outcomes were to:
In continued partnership with ASMBS, AANP — represented by an NP expert — has been invited to participate on a panel presentation to discuss The Obesity Education Gap. The plan is to develop workstreams and committees to take action toward the identified priorities and advance comprehensive obesity care.
