Jason Gleason, DNP, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr. Jason Gleason is the Region 8 Director of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP).
Dr. Jason Gleason, known as Dr. J, is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over two decades of experience. Dr. Gleason served in the USAF for 20 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2015. He is a distinguished national speaker, consultant, author, media personality, founder and host of the Best Life NPs podcast, award-nominated documentary producer and fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is honored to provide care for our National Heroes at the Veterans Health Administration and is a faculty member at Fitzgerald Health Education Associates by Colibri. Dr. Gleason serves as an elected board member for the American Association of Nurse Practitioners proudly representing the great states of Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. Additionally, he serves on the Veterans Health Administration National APRN council, VA/Department of Defense clinical practice guidelines stroke rehabilitation workgroup and the advisory boards for Carelinx by Sharecare and Purdue University Global. Dr. Gleason has received recognition from the floor of the U.S. Senate and a U.S. Congressional commendation recorded in perpetuity at the U.S. Library of Congress for his service as an NP. Above all, he cherishes his role as a husband and being the father of three remarkable sons.
