Call for Presentations: 2025 AANP National Conference Now Closed

3-Hour Seminar and 4-Hour Workshop Presentation Proposals

A limited number of submissions will be selected for seminar and workshop sessions at the 2025 AANP National Conference. Proposals will be reviewed and evaluated to ensure the following:

• Proposals include accurate and complete information.
• Content is current, evidence-based and suitable for a seminar or workshop presentation duration.
• The presentation does not promote personal interest in a service, book or product.
• The presenter’s experience indicates expertise in the subject area.
• The backgrounds of the conference presenters (as a group) are diverse.

Description of Seminars and Workshops

• 3-Hour Seminar: The 3-hour seminar is an in-depth discussion of a topic or related topics and consists of at least two hours and thirty minutes (150 minutes) of content plus a question-and-answer session. Three to five objectives are required.
• 4-Hour Hands-on Workshop: The 4-hour hands-on skills workshop encompasses both an in-depth discussion plus hands-on skills learning. These sessions typically require equipment and supplies and attendees are charged a fee in addition to the conference registration to attend. Four to six objectives are required.

Submissions for seminar and workshop sessions closed on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT).

Submission Guidelines and Process

Final selections will be consistent with the identified educational needs, presentation ethics and objectives of the conference.

A separate submission must be completed for each seminar or workshop proposal. Applicants are allowed up to four separate submissions. Only one co-presenter is allowed for sessions. Workshop assistants are separate from presenters.

Only abstracts submitted in the portal will be considered. No emails or other correspondence will be accepted.

Proposals will be chosen and speakers notified in December 2024 via email. Please be sure to check your spam folders.

Proposals for 60-Minute Presentations

A limited number of submissions will be selected for 60-minute presentations at the 2025 AANP National Conference. Proposals will be reviewed by the assigned nurse practitioner (NP) experts and evaluated to ensure the following:

• Proposals include accurate and complete information.
• Content is current, evidence-based and suitable for a 60-minute presentation duration.
• The presentation does not promote personal interest in a service, book or product.
• The presenter’s experience indicates expertise in the subject area.
• The backgrounds of the conference presenters (as a group) are diverse.

Proposals for Poster Presentations

AANP is accepting applications for poster presentations at the 2025 AANP National Conference. Poster sessions will be scheduled when the Exhibit Hall is open.

• Proposals should note your area of interest, with potential areas including novel clinical or education interventions, innovative models of care, emerging health conditions, evolving leadership and policy issues, original research findings and resourceful outcome measures.
• Final selections will be based on the quality and clarity of the abstract and relevance to the contemporary NP practice environment.
• Participants must be available to present their posters during any of the poster sessions between Tuesday, June 17, and Sunday, June 22, 2025.

Appropriate Content

• Completed research papers concerning all facets of NP practice (in-progress reports will be considered).
• Brief updates regarding clinical innovations and practice issues relevant to NPs (to allow coverage within a poster presentation).

When submitting a proposal to present at national conference, please be aware of AANP’s presentation expectations:

• AANP’s Accreditation Standards and Policies must be followed. For a summary of the accreditation standards and other requirements for the presentations, see the Speaker and Presentation Rules.
• Presentations should be free of copyrighted materials, or written permission to use those copyrighted materials must be provided. Review the Speaker Guide for tips on how to prevent copyright infringement and additional information.
• All speakers must be available to present on any of the conference dates between June 17-22, 2025.
