Will the 2020 AANP National Conference be conducted later in the year?
AANP is actively investigating alternative web-based education to provide flexibility and distancing while obtaining important continuing education (CE) and incorporating industry and other ancillary initiatives to all nurse practitioners (NPs) later this year. We look forward to coming back together Tuesday, June 15–Sunday, June 20, 2021, in Anaheim, California.
Are all ancillary and affiliated events associated with 2020 AANP National Conference canceled?
All ancillary and affiliated events are postponed at this time. Ancillary and affiliated events include but are not limited to the Fellows Induction Ceremony, State Awards Induction, Political Action Committee, Industry Sponsored/Supported Product Theaters or Symposia, Focus Groups, President and CEO Reception, Specialty Practice Group (SPG) initiatives, etc. AANP is actively investigating opportunities for each event held during the conference to determine how to best serve these affiliated groups. Further details will be provided in the next few weeks.
How will SPGs be impacted?
AANP is currently investigating all options for the new electronic format. As soon as complete details are finalized, all 2020 SPG chairs and co-chairs will be notified about our intentions and how AANP is proceeding.
I submitted a poster abstract; will that still be published?

Will my registration fee be refunded?
Yes, AANP will provide full refunds for all participants who have registered to attend the 2020 AANP National Conference. Please be patient as we work through the process. You can expect a refund within the next 30 days.
Will my workshop fee be refunded?
Yes, AANP will provide full refunds for all participants who have registered to attend the 2020 AANP National Conference workshops. Please be patient as we work through the process. You can expect a refund within the next 30 days.
How will my refund be issued?
All registered participants will receive a full refund in the same format as when you registered. Please allow up to 30 days for funds to be applied to your credit or debit card or for a check to be received. For those who have paid by cash, you will receive a check issued to the registration name on file.
If I had previously canceled my conference registration, will my $75 administrative fee be refunded?
Participants who have already canceled will be issued a refund of the administration fee. Administrative fees will be refunded in the same format as when you registered. Please allow up to 30 days to receive a credit.
Do I need to cancel my hotel room?
AANP is working closely with all affiliated hotels and will automatically cancel all hotel rooms associated with the AANP housing block. There is no action on your part to cancel your hotel reservation an official AANP housing block hotel. Based on the cancellation policy within the hotel, you will not be charged for the one-night deposit. If you booked a room at a hotel outside of AANP's official housing block, you will need to contact your hotel directly and cancel your reservations accordingly. No refund will be awarded for cancellations at hotels outside the AANP housing block. If you wish to retain your hotel room for travel to New Orleans, please email conference@aanp.org immediately.
Will I be refunded for my airline ticket?
AANP will not refund individual airline ticket costs. Please contact your travel agent or the airline directly regarding ticket cancellations and refund policies. If you purchased travel insurance, please contact your insurance provider for information and next steps.
Can I earn CE credit in other ways through AANP?
The AANP CE Center is available to AANP members year-round and offers excellent CE topics. As a member, you have free, 24/7 access to the CE Center. If you are not a member, find additional information about AANP membership.
