American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Grants

Funding Nurse Practitioners (NPs) Who Drive Innovation Through Research

Your research helps shape the future of health care. Gain the financial support you need to continue the advancement of evidence-based care and the use of new findings with grants from AANP.

AANP supports research and clinical practice efforts that aim to improve the quality of care for patients and to enhance understanding of the NP role. Grants are available to AANP members who are currently practicing in an NP role.

Now Closed — 2025 AANP Grant Program

Through research, you are promoting evidence-based resources that support NPs of all specialties and in all practice settings. Applicants for AANP grants must be certified NPs. Graduate students may apply if their project is expected to be completed in 2026.

Awardees may receive $5,000.00 U.S. dollars in grant funding. Only completed applications through our online system will be accepted and reviewed.

Applications closed on March 26, 2025, at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT).

All applicants will be notified once the grant recipients have been determined. If you are selected to receive a grant, you will be required to complete and sign an agreement.

"I am humbly thankful to the team at AANP who selected me qualified for this Grant award. This grant will assist me both personally and professionally. This Grant award opens so many doors of opportunity for me and my family, and also serve as a motivation for me to continue having the highest level of dedication as a nurse practitioner and continue to focus on job satisfaction and improving the NP workforce."
