    Educational Sessions

    AANP is pleased to present more than 330 sessions and workshops at the in-person 2023 AANP National Conference, available Tuesday, June 20, through Sunday, June 25.

    In addition, dozens of sessions from the in-person conference will be made available on demand. If you register for the in-person conference package, you can access the full on-demand package at no extra charge!


    CE and Pharmacology Hours

    The program is under review by AANP to determine CE and pharmacology credit. Up to 34 contact hours of CE will be offered (includes one session for each time slot Tuesday through Sunday).


    Presentation Handouts

    The link to access presentation handouts will be emailed to all conference registrants by early June 2023. Registrants are encouraged to print the materials or store them on an electronic device prior to attending sessions. In addition, all handouts can be viewed using the AANP Mobile App, available for iOS and Android devices.


    Poster Presentations

    Visit the Exhibit Hall for poster presentations featuring the latest evidence in the field. A detailed schedule with information on individual poster presentations will be available in the 2023 AANP National Conference Guide.

    Industry Supported and Sponsored Events

    The cost of industry-supported and sponsored (IS) events with food service presented at the 2023 AANP National Conference is not included in the conference registration fees. Non-CE product theaters are funded entirely by the supporting or sponsoring company, allowing AANP to offer some conference registrants complimentary access to a limited number of non-CE educational presentations. Due to their educational focus and guideline requirements, attendance is restricted to only conference registrants. To expedite the admittance of attendees into these events, registration will occur on-site at the entrance of each scheduled event on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no pre-registration.

    Bridge House/Grace House

    Bridge House/Grace House provides gender-sensitive treatment to people who have become dependent on alcohol or drugs to help them lead sober and productive lives. Long-term residential services are offered — regardless of one’s ability to pay — in an atmosphere that promotes dignity, honor and respect.     What health and safety precautions are being taken?

    To reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission, AANP will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local guidelines or regulations in place at the time of the event.

    Registration Policies

    Cancellation and Refunds

    All cancellation requests must be submitted to AANP no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, May 8, 2023. No refunds will be granted after this date. A refund will then be issued minus a $75 administrative fee or a $25 administrative fee for student registrations (entry-level student members only).

    If you do not cancel in writing by 11:59 p.m. ET on May 8, and you do not attend, no refund will be granted.

    Housing Policies

    If you cancel your conference registration, remember to cancel your housing reservation within the AANP housing block. AANP reserves the right to remove any housing reservations that are not supported by a conference registration.

    Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA)

    The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center complies with the requirements specified by the ADA. AANP is responsible for all non-permanent accessibility requirements.

    If you have any questions or require special accommodations or auxiliary aid related to a disability for your conference attendance, please notify AANP via the AANP Help Center or 512-442-4262 no later than Monday, May 16.

    Animals

    Live animals are prohibited within the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, other than animal(s) that serve a guide or service function as defined by the ADA. The ADA defines service animals as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.

    Firearms and Weapons

    Firearms and weapons are prohibited at the 2023 AANP National Conference.

    Name Badges

    • Registered Attendees: Registered attendees must wear their official conference name badge at all times to access conference events. There will be a $25 fee to reprint a lost badge.
    • Guests of Registered Attendees: Guest Badges will be sold for $50.00 to registered attendee guests 16 or older during the 2023 AANP National Conference. Attestation of infectious disease prevention requirements apply.

    Children

    Children, including infants, under the age of 16 are not allowed in conference sessions or the Exhibit Hall due to safety concerns, audio recording and maintaining an appropriate learning environment.

    Child Care

    AANP does not arrange or provide child care services during the national conference. The Orange County Convention Center does not offer child care services.

    Conference Attire

    Attire is business casual. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center strives to keep rooms at a comfortable temperature, but layered clothing is strongly suggested. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended.

    On-Site Payment

    Payment at AANP events must be made with a check or credit card. Cash payment will only be accepted on-site for AANP PAC donations.

    Smoking

    Smoking is prohibited in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This includes traditional cigarettes, cigars, vaping devices and e-cigarettes.

    Standing and Sitting in Classrooms

    Sitting in chairs is required in classrooms for the majority of presentations due to Fire Marshal regulations. Sitting on floors is not permitted. Standing is very limited and not allowed unless there is a hands-on or networking portion of the session, or you have a medical or health condition. Please kindly inform the classroom assistant(s) if you have a medical or health condition and need to stand during part of a session.

    What are the dates of the 2023 AANP National Conference?

    The conference is being held in New Orleans June 20-25. Access to the on-demand conference sessions will be available June 28-Aug. 3.

    What parking arrangements are available at the venue, if any?

    The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center (MCCNO) is located at 400 Calliope Street in New Orleans. Ample parking is available on-site for a daily fee. Follow the signs to enter the convention center parking lots from Calliope Street riverbound. Overnight parking is prohibited. ADA-accessible parking is available. Email parking@MCCNO.com if you have specific needs.

    I booked housing through the AANP Housing Block. Are there shuttles available to transport me to the event?

    View the shuttle map and schedule online. To obtain the most current shuttle information, please refer to signs posted at the MCCNO and hotels within the AANP Housing Block.

    Where do I go to check-in?

    Check-in is on the first floor of the MCCNO. Registration and check-in are located to the right of the shuttle entrance in Hall G Lobby. The hours of operation are listed below:

    Kiosks are available for convenient self-check in. At the kiosk, simply type your name in and follow the prompts. Staff will be available to assist you, if needed.

    Your badge will be printed along with your conference schedule (if you pre-selected your sessions), and the speaker ticket to exchange for your badge holder and conference bag.

    Where can I buy a guest badge on-site?

    Guest badges can be purchased for $50 at the on-site registration and help desk on the first floor in Hall G Lobby of the MCCNO near the self-check in and badge pick-up area.

    How do I download the event app?

    Where do I find my schedule online?

    Visit national.aanp.org or download the AANP Mobile App at mobile.aanp.org to view your conference schedule.

    How many contact hours (CH) of continuing education (CE) are available?

    An attendee can earn up to 34 CH of CE during the in-person conference by selecting one session for each available time slot throughout the week. Additional CE may be earned via the on-demand conference platform.

    How do I collect CE credit?

    To receive credit for CE earned at the conference in New Orleans, fill out the short, electronic evaluation for each session you attend, along with the general conference evaluation by using the AANP Mobile App or by visiting eval.aanp.org. Evaluations open 15 minutes prior to the scheduled end time of a session. Once evaluations are complete, your CE certificates will be available in your CE Tracker within the AANP CE Center. You have six months from the last day of the conference to complete your evaluations and claim CE credit for the live sessions. Evaluations must be completed within that six-month time frame.

    On-Demand Sessions
    To receive credit for CE earned on-demand, you must complete the post-test for each session you attend before the conference platform closes on Aug. 3.

    How do I change my in-person sessions?

    Session changes can only be made through the AANP Mobile App.

    Where are the keynote speaker session, my next session and the exhibition hall located?

    You can check the schedule and locations of sessions in the guide you will receive at check in or on the AANP Mobile App. Maps are also available in the guide and mobile app. Signage is posted on-site to help you navigate the conference venue.

    When will the Exhibit Hall be open?

    The 2023 AANP National Conference handouts are now available online. You are encouraged to print the materials or store them on an electronic device prior to attending sessions. In addition, all handouts can be viewed using the AANP Mobile App.

    What health and safety precautions are being taken?

    To reduce the risk of infectious disease transmission, AANP will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local guidelines or regulations in place at the time of the event.

    Will cash be accepted on-site?

    Payment at AANP events must be made with a check or credit card. Cash payment will only be accepted on-site for AANP PAC donations.

    I am not attending the conference. How can I cancel my registration?

    Unfortunately, the deadline to cancel your registration has passed. However, with the in-person conference package, you receive complimentary access to the on-demand portion and any conference sessions selected for inclusion within the AANP CE Center.

    What are the dates of the on-demand conference?

    The on-demand portion of the 2023 AANP National Conference will be available June 28-Aug. 3.

    When will registration for the on-demand conference close?

    Registration closes on July 27at 11:59 p.m. ET (10:59 p.m. CT).

    What happens after I register?

    A receipt will be emailed to you after you complete your registration. When the on-demand conference officially opens on June 28, you will receive an email with instructions, including information on how to log in, how to access the online platform and other pertinent information.

    How long will the sessions be available on demand?

    On-demand sessions will be available for 35 days. Access them at your convenience from June 28 to Aug. 3. To claim CE credit for on-demand sessions, complete the post-test for each session you attend by Aug. 3.
