Engage, Learn, Network and Progress Practice in Emergency

American Association of Nurse Practitioners - Emergency SPG

Emergency nurse practitioners (NPs) need to be ready for anything, and exchanging your experiences in collaboration with other emergency NPs is a great way to expand that readiness. The Emergency Specialty Practice Group (SPG) offers a unique opportunity to interactively collaborate with colleagues who share interest or clinical expertise in emergency care. As an SPG member you’ll have access to a cutting-edge, online forum where you can engage in discussions, document sharing and knowledge exchange with fellow NPs. Come learn, share and help progress the development of theory and practice in emergency care.

A Message From the Emergency SPG Co-chairs

Welcome to the AANP Emergency SPG! I have been an emergency NP (ENP) for almost 20 years in Arizona and Georgia. I believe NPs working in emergency care provide a wealth of knowledge and skills to patients who present to the emergency department. I agree with my co-chair, Dr. Melanie Hallman, that there is a growing need for well-trained ENPs to lead future emergency patient care, and I am excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with you to move our specialty forward. I hope you will find the online SPG forum valuable and that it provides a space for you to share, connect and learn. I look forward to meeting and greeting many of you at a future AANP conference and learning from each of you.
