AUSTIN, TEXAS — The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) has selected Korn Ferry International, a leading global recruitment and talent management firm, to work with a committee appointed from within AANP to select the next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the organization. AANP announced earlier this year that CEO David Hebert, JD, will retire in December 2020 after eight years at the helm of the largest national membership organization for nurse practitioners (NPs) of all specialties. “AANP is most appreciative of the leadership that David Hebert has provided to our organization,” said AANP President Sophia L. Thomas, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PPCNP-BC, FNAP, FAANP. “With our dedicated professional staff and a strong strategic plan, we look forward to continued growth of the organization and the NP role.”
