AUSTIN, TEXAS — The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) is proud of the more than 325,000 licensed nurse practitioners (NPs) in the United States who have led the charge to vaccinate patients in communities across the country. NPs have provided vaccinations at hospitals, clinics, rural health centers, community events and door-to-door to increase equitable access to health care and vaccine availability.
In an effort to continue combating the pandemic, AANP urges every frontline health care worker to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to protect their patients, families, the public and themselves. Vaccination is our most powerful tool to stop the spread of this deadly virus. By working together, increasing access to the vaccine and ensuring those who can be vaccinated do get vaccinated, our nation will emerge from this public-health crisis.
