Established in 2017, the $5,000 FAANP Grant is awarded annually to one or more Fellows in good standing for the completion of a project within 18 months. This project must highlight the work of nurse practitioners (NPs) and further the contributions of the FAANP. The project focus is to fall within one of the four categories of the AANP Research Agenda 2023–2028, published in the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (JAANP). Applicants must explain how the project fits within the needs identified in the research agenda framework. Projects may include primary and secondary analysis of research data, policy analysis, implementation of clinical innovations or practice models to improve health outcomes and the development and testing of educational interventions or point-of-care technologies.
Fellows interested in applying for a 2026 FAANP Grant should prepare for the program to open in the fall of 2025.
