Help Guide the Direction of Your Professional Association

Nominations are being accepted for American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) 2022 Elected Offices

AUSTIN, TEXAS — Now is the time for AANP members to chart the direction of the association. This is the opportunity to have a say in the future of the nurse practitioner (NP) profession. The AANP Board of Directors and Nomination Council are accepting nominations now through the end of October for the 2022 AANP Election.

With more than 119,000 members from diverse backgrounds practicing in a variety of settings, AANP relies on the expertise of NP leaders to guide the association and to ensure that the full spectrum of NP experiences and perspectives is fully represented. The unique contributions of each elected representative make it possible to collectively advance the NP role, build effective relationships with lawmakers and educate health care consumers about the advantages of having an NP as a primary, specialty, acute or long-term health care provider.

Are you an AANP member who would like to make a difference in your association and the future of the NP role? Consider seeking an elected office to help define AANP’s trajectory and inform the association’s efforts as it works to empower all NPs to advance accessible, person-centered, high-quality health care for diverse communities through practice, education, advocacy, research and leadership. Please take a few minutes to review the positions that will be on the ballot in March 2022 and determine how you can help support your association and the NP role. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, October 31, at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT).
