In March 2015, AANP developed two online communities to provide a designated place for nurse practitioners (NPs) to discuss clinical topics — such as practice guidelines, best practices or current events — and to facilitate collaboration and networking. Since then, these communities have expanded to 17 primary care, specialty care and professional nursing topics called Specialty Practice Groups.
Now, AANP is pleased to announce that these groups are becoming AANP Communities!

Specialty Interest Groups (SIGs) support professional development, practice management and advanced nursing practice topics. AANP members may currently elect to join three SIGs, which include:
If you are a member of an AANP Community — SPG or SIG — you still maintain full access to your discussion forum for your remaining term. The only thing that has changed is the name! Watch for more information about these groups, using the new AANP Community name.
Are you not yet a member of an AANP Community? For just $20 each, prorated to your membership term, you can join as many SPGs or SIGs as you like! By joining, you gain access to an exclusive discussion forum just for you and others who share your passion and pursuits.
