AUSTIN, TEXAS — Nurse practitioners (NPs) are health care leaders who prioritize the needs of patients while continually advancing clinical practice. Those leadership skills make AANP members an ideal fit for association leadership.
Are you an AANP member who would like to make a difference in your association and your future? Consider seeking an elected office to help define AANP’s trajectory and inform the association’s efforts as it works to empower all NPs to advance quality health care through practice, education, advocacy, research and leadership.
With more than 114,000 members from diverse backgrounds who practice in a variety of settings, AANP relies on the expertise of NP leaders to guide the association and to ensure that the full spectrum of NP experiences and perspectives are fully represented. The unique contributions of each elected representative make it possible to collectively advance the NP role, build effective relationships with lawmakers and educate health care consumers about the advantages of having an NP as a primary, specialty or acute health care provider.
The AANP Board of Directors and Nomination Council are pleased to announce the 2021 AANP Call for Nominations and to invite all eligible AANP members to participate. Please take a few minutes to review the positions that will be on the ballot in 2021 and determine how you can help your association and the NP role advance. Nominations will close at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT) on October 30, 2020.
