AUSTIN, TEXAS — The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) empowers members to succeed and achieve their educational and research-related goals by offering professional funding support to nurse practitioners (NPs) and NP students through the AANP Grants and Scholarships Program. Last year, this program awarded a total of $120,000 in funding to 43 AANP members. The 2022 funding cycle is now open, with $145,000 to award, and applications will be accepted until March 23 at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT). Only completed applications will be considered.
“Whether you are continuing your NP education or transforming health care and advancing science through research,” said AANP President April N. Kapu, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, FAANP, FCCM, FAAN, “I encourage you to apply for funding support through the 2022 AANP Grants and Scholarships Program. This program is just one example of AANP’s commitment to excellence in evidence-based practice and education throughout an NP’s career."
Scholarship applicants who meet certain eligibility requirements will be considered for between $2,500 and $5,000 in funding. Qualified applicants seeking grants to fund primary research, secondary data analysis, patient- or provider-education projects or evidence-based practice and quality improvement projects may be considered for $5,000 in funding.
