AUSTIN, TEXAS — Voting is now open for the 2026 American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) Election. AANP members can help determine the direction of the organization by electing nurse practitioner (NP) leaders from their respective states, territories and regions.
“AANP is strengthened when our members actively participate in choosing the leaders who will guide our profession forward,” said AANP President Valerie Fuller, PhD, DNP. “This election is an opportunity for every eligible member to help shape the future of AANP and ensure nurse practitioners continue to have strong, thoughtful representation at every level.”
Open positions in the 2026 AANP Election include the AANP President-Elect, recording secretary and region directors for even-numbered regions — all of whom will serve on the AANP Board of Directors. State liaisons in odd-numbered regions and two positions on the AANP Nomination Council are also on the ballot.
AANP members eligible to vote in the 2026 elections will receive an email notification indicating balloting is open. All votes must be submitted online by March 31 at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT).
