AANP Announces Fellows for 2014

AUSTIN, TX (March 31, 2014) The Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP) recently selected 76 nurse practitioner (NP) leaders, as well as one Honorary Fellow (FAANP (H)) for induction into FAANP in June 2014. The new FAANP members (see pg. 4) will continue the tradition of impacting national and global health through their outstanding contributions.

The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) will honor this year's FAANP inductees at a ceremony, followed by a soiree on Thursday, June 19, 2014, during the AANP National Conference at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

AANP established the FAANP program in 2000 to recognize nurse practitioner leaders who have made outstanding contributions to health care through clinical practice, research, education, or policy. Fellows of AANP are visionaries and, as such, hold an annual think tank to strategize about the future of nurse practitioners and health care. The new Fellows will continue to demonstrate leadership and contribute to the mission of AANP.
