September 19, 2024 – September 22, 2024 Reno, Nevada
CE: Up to 18 contact hours
An AANP accreditation review is currently underway to determine contact hours.
Join the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) in Reno, Nevada, to earn continuing education (CE) credit and connect with your nurse practitioner (NP) colleagues. This event offers advanced learning in five topical areas and the opportunity to exchange clinical pearls with NPs who share your clinical interests. Registrants for the in-person conference will also receive access to the 2024 AANP Fall Conference on-demand package at no extra charge!
Five topical areas will be presented at the 2024 AANP Fall Conference. Within each topical area, registered attendees can choose from a number of sessions on a variety of therapeutic areas — or select sessions from multiple topical areas to create your own personalized conference experience!
Cardiovascular
From foundational concepts to advanced diagnostic techniques, pharmacotherapy, lifestyle interventions and emergent trends, this track equips NPs with essential skills to diagnose, manage and prevent cardiovascular diseases effectively. Explore the latest advancements in cardiac assessment and treatment modalities, enhancing your ability to provide comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions (i.e. heart failure, rheumatic heart disease, pulmonary hypertension).
Endocrine
Delve into the complexities of hormonal regulation, diagnostic methodologies, therapeutic interventions and emerging trends in endocrinology. From understanding the pathophysiology of common endocrine disorders such as diabetes, thyroid disorders and adrenal diseases to mastering advanced treatment modalities and patient education techniques, this track provides NPs with comprehensive knowledge and skills essential for delivering high-quality endocrine care.
Pediatrics, Acute and Primary Care
This track provides an exciting opportunity for NPs working in acute and critical care settings to hear the latest evidence-based updates on a variety of topics, including interprofessional practice, neurodevelopmental disorders, cardiology, toxicology, sepsis, pain and sedation, and immunization updates.
Psychiatric-Mental Health
Patients often view the primary care setting as more acceptable or accessible for mental health care than a specialty setting. Therefore, primary care NPs are on the front lines for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. Research trials consistently demonstrate the effectiveness of integrated care for mental disorders — and yet primary care providers and systems are overburdened, and clinicians sometimes lack knowledge and confidence to practice to the full scope of their NP roles. This topical area provides information to improve the delivery of mental health services in primary care; likewise, it enhances and extends the skill set for the competent mental health provider.
Women's Health
Explore a comprehensive array of topics spanning reproductive health, gynecological conditions, maternal care and menopausal management. From evidence-based preventive care strategies to advanced treatment modalities and patient education approaches, this track equips NPs with the knowledge and skills necessary to address the unique health care needs of women across the lifespan. Deepen your understanding of women's health and enhance your ability to deliver personalized, patient-centered care to women in diverse health care settings.
