Miranda Kliment, DNP, APRN, FNP

Dr. Miranda Kliment is the American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) Region 7 Director. She is an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. Kliment received her diploma in nursing from Bryan College of Health Sciences and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Nebraska Wesleyan. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degrees at Creighton University. As a nurse practitioner (NP), Kliment has worked in outpatient, family practice settings for the past thirteen years. Her DNP project, "Improving the Utilization of a Diabetic Health Maintenance Flow Chart for Type 2 Diabetes Care in an Outpatient Family Practice Clinic," focused on improving the documentation of quality measures among patients with diabetes. She was awarded the Constance Smith-Peterson Award in 2010 from Creighton University for the advancement of nursing theory and practice. Kliment previously served as the AANP Nebraska State Liaison.
