With urgent care growing faster than any other form of health care delivery, there are more and more opportunities for NPs to get involved. The Convenient Care Specialty Practice Group (SPG) offers a unique opportunity to interactively collaborate with colleagues who share interest or clinical expertise in convenient care. As an SPG member, you’ll have access to a cutting-edge, online forum where you can engage in discussions, document sharing and knowledge exchange with fellow NPs. A Message From the Convenient Care SPG Co-chairs
The convenient/urgent care setting is focused on accessible high-quality health care in the communities where our patients reside. Through this vision and focused approach to access and quality, constant innovation provides new solutions to the challenges our patients face in their case. As advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) in this practice setting, we look to support one another in such an innovative practice model, improving access one patient a time.
I am honored to serve as co-chair for the Convenient and Urgent Care SPG (Specialty Practice Group). I have 25 years of nursing experience and have practiced in Urgent Care for 6 years. I also serve as Advanced Practice Clinician Director for 14 clinics. I am passionate about forwarding the role of APRNs in health care! Convenient and Urgent Care provides a unique model for APRNs to address the needs of patients and communities, bridging the gap between primary care and ERs.
Within the Convenient and Urgent Care SPG you will find opportunities to connect with peers, share best practices, and seek out new and inventive ways to serve our patients and broader communities. I am excited to share, connect and learn with you!

Convenient care SPG Details and Eligibility
- Annual Dues: $20.
- Available exclusively to current AANP members.
- Open to all AANP members with specialty practice or interest in convenient or urgent care, especially those with board certification.
