Nominations for the 2024 election will be accepted until Oct. 31.

AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 2, 2023) – The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) is pleased to open nominations for the 2024 AANP Election. As a member-driven organization, AANP is strengthened by the leadership of a diverse group of members, elected by their peers to help guide the association and inform the future of the nurse practitioner (NP) role.

“Our strength as an association lies in the dedication and passion of our members,” said AANP President Stephen A. Ferrara, DNP. “Nurse practitioners lead in our communities, and we lead throughout the health care system. AANP is actively seeking members from varied backgrounds, all clinical specialties, practice settings and patient populations to lead the association forward. I urge all eligible members to participate by running for a position or by voting in this election.”

AANP individual members in good standing for the 12 months prior to October 2, 2023, are encouraged to self-nominate. Information about the elected leadership positions and eligibility requirements is available on the AANP Elections webpage. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, Oct. 31.

“Don't miss this opportunity to contribute to the future of NPs,” said Ferrara. “Together, we can continue to elevate the profession.”
