Nominations are now open for elected leadership positions.

AUSTIN, TEXAS (October 3, 2022) – The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) is pleased to announce the opening of nominations for the 2023 AANP Election. AANP is a member-driven organization. By seeking elected leadership positions and voting in this election, AANP members play a crucial role in informing the association’s action — and determining the future of the nurse practitioner (NP) role.

“AANP represents all nurse practitioners, and we need members from all clinical specialties, practice settings and backgrounds to lend their expertise and experience to this organization,” said April N. Kapu, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, FAANP, FCCM, FAAN, president of AANP. “Having insights and perspectives from a wide range of members is crucial to the association’s continued success, so I encourage all eligible members to participate.”

AANP individual members in good standing for the 12 months prior to Oct. 3, 2022, are encouraged to self-nominate. Information about the elected leadership positions and eligibility requirements is available on the AANP Elections webpage. The deadline for nominations is Monday, Oct. 31, at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT).
