Eligible nurse practitioners and students must apply by March 15 to be considered.

AUSTIN, TEXAS — The American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) works to sustain its core purpose "to promote high-quality health care for all" through financial support for nurse practitioners (NPs) and NP students. In 2022, AANP awarded $145,000 to 55 members through the AANP Grants and Scholarships Program, and in 2023 AANP will raise the amount to $147,000 in total awards.

AANP is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2023 Grants and Scholarships Program funding cycle. AANP members who meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply for scholarships or grants before March 15, 2023, at 6 p.m. ET (5 p.m. CT).

“AANP is honored to support those NPs who are working on innovative research as well as NP students earning an advanced degree,” said AANP President April N. Kapu, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC, FAANP, FCCM, FAAN. “The AANP Grants and Scholarships Program supports NPs and NP students as they complete their studies and engage in academic research.”

AANP Grants are open to AANP members practicing in an NP role and to certified NPs or graduate students expected to complete their project in 2024. Applicants will be considered for up to $5,000 in grant funding.

AANP Scholarships are offered to those AANP members currently enrolled in an accredited graduate school in pursuit of an advanced degree. Applicants must be licensed as a registered nurse, have at least one semester of classes completed and be scheduled to complete an eligible NP program between fall (August) 2023 and summer (July) 2024. Awardees will be considered for $2,500-$5,000 in scholarship funding.

Applications must be submitted before the March 15 deadline. Only completed applications will be accepted and reviewed.
